Since Ray is changing her icon I’m posting this. 

No doubt that it is one of the greatest pictures of the NG and the history. It was taken by Steve McCurry at 1983. It’s the face of 12-year old Afghan girl in a refugee camp in Pakistan. Her name is Sharbat Gula.
